Pediatric Dermatology - Dr. Bloom was one of just over 90 pediatric dermatologists certified by the American Board of Dermatologists in 2005 (and the only one from the State of MN).  

Professional Biography
Dr. Bloom feels strongly about providing health care to children and young adults with disorders relating to the skin, hair, and nails.   Patients, their families and their referring physicians can count on our professionalism, specialized skills, and the state-of-the-art technology. He recognizes the importance of a congenial atmosphere for patients of all ages to treat and diagnose our patients whether they have congenital pigmented and/or vascular birthmarks, skin manifestations of systemic and genetic disorders, or primary dermatologic conditions. He offers alternatives for medical, surgical and laser treatments.  Other procedures include photodynamic therapy for acne and Botox injection therapy for hyperhidrosis (increased sweating).   Dr. Bloom is also actively involved in clinical research for conditions such as tinea capitis (scalp ringworm), psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and acne.  Dr. Bloom also has special interest in clinical practice management and electronic medical billing and also serves on numerous pharmaceutical speakers bureaus and advisory boards.
Dr. Bloom has appeared as one of the "Top Doctors" in Mpls. St Paul Magazine from 1997 to 2005.  He also appeared in the "Guide to America's Top Pediatricians" and the "Guide to America's Top Physicians" by the Consumers' Research Council of America in 2004.
Fairview  Physician Associates presented the  Dermatology Center For Children & Young Adults , P.A. with an award recognizing “Increase in Customer Satisfaction for Excellence of Overall Care” as a result of patient satisfaction surveys in the spring, 2003.
