Dr. Ericson joined the department in 1996 as part of the Clinical Research Division team. She is director of the research laboratory in Dermatology located in Diehl Hall and leads the Basic Science Fridays resident lecture series. Her interests lie in imaging with special emphasis on single- and multi-photon laser scanning confocal microscopy. Her expertise in imaging has led to fruitful collaborations with other investigators outside the Department of Dermatology in the fields of infectious diseases, oncology, neuroscience, rheumatology, engineering, dentistry, and orthopedics. Current research activities include cancer pain in a murine model, mechanisms of hair growth, tumor/T-cell interactions, mechanism of mammalian/tick infection, and second harmonic imaging of collagen.  For more information about Dr. Ericson's research activities, click here.
