Professional Biography:
Dr. Prawer completed college, medical school and residency training in dermatology at the University of Minnesota.  He interned at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California and then became a General Medical Officer with the Air Force for two years in Biloxi, Mississippi.  He has a special interest in Occupational Dermatology and staffs with residents and medical students in General and Pediatric Dermtology Clinic on Wednesday mornings at the University of Minnesota.  He lectures extensively to medical students, residents and primary care physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.  He is in provate practice with Associated Skin Care Specialists in Fridley and Eden Prairie. To date, he has published 41 articles including, but not limited to, research of specific drug treatments for the variants of psoriasis, dermatitis or other conditions. Dr. Prawer has received numerous awards and honors and was chosen as one of the most preferred dermatologists in the Twin Cities by other medical professionals four times in Mpls/St. Paul Magazine.  Dr. Prawer was the President of the MN Dermatologic Society in 2003 and is Chairman of the Institutional Review Board for Allina, Unity and Mercy Hospitals. His awards include the AAD Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for Scientific Exhibits for Original Investigators.
