	Biosketch of Chair

Welcome to our Web site. I am proud to lead a center of excellence in dermatology. We treat patients with common, uncommon, mild, and severe skin diseases. We run the Cutaneous Surgery and Laser Center, our dermatopathologist evaluates pathologic specimens from all over the United States, and we have research laboratories with special expertise in hair biology and the peripheral nervous system.

Our Division of Clinical Research has many ongoing clinical studies evaluating new drugs and new techniques for treating skin diseases and skin cancers. Our residency-training program is large. The department maintains one-year fellowships in clinical research and cutaneous surgery, and trains 15 residents at the G2, G3, and G4 levels, and appoints three residents at the G1 level. The department is nationally recognized for its clinical activities, expertise in cutaneous surgery, and as a center of excellence in hair biology/hair diseases.
